In the early 1970s, Marvin Beach built the Marvin's Markets grocery store chain in southern California, headquartered in Burbank. Marvin sold his grocery business at the end of that decade and started Taste Technologies which developed unique beverage and frozen dessert products. The headquarters for TT were in Louisville, Kentucky.

In 1984, Russ Beach, Marvin's son, graduated from Cal Poly State University San Luis Obispo with a major in Food Science. Russ's first job outside of his father's company was as the Quality Assurance Supervisor at the Dole Pineapple Cannery in Honolulu. In 1993, Russ moved to Louisville to join his father's team at Taste Technology as a Food Technologist developing sweet goods; predominantly nutritional beverages and nondairy desserts. Russ worked with consultants, who developed several of the flavor systems, beverages, and dessert products that we see on the market today.

Following his passion in dessert and beverage innovation and product development in 1995, he ventured out to start the Ice Cream Desserts Factory, developing homemade ice cream desserts and beverages (Home of the World's Famous Ice Cream Cannoli).

In 2020, a real demand for simple, lower calorie, gluten free, plant based frozen desserts and beverage can be seen in the food industry. Russ worked in his test kitchen for a year formulating, optimizing, and taste testing. The FrozOatTM  dream is realized. The first flavors available for market are vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and cappuccino with recipes to make several new flavors with added fruit and favorite inclusions.
